How cold does it need to get before a Chihuahua turns into a popsicle? I think Maddy (the visiting Chihuahua) crawls under the covers at about 60 degrees and below. Luckily for me, Lola (my Chihuahua) seems to tolerate cooler temperatures.
I'm working on being more efficient with my heating. The house I live in has a natural gas fireplace that is in the living room. Sometimes the living room gets a little toasty in comparison to the rest of the house because when I let the dogs out it triggers the thermostat on the fireplace. So no danger of Chihuahua popsicles, really! Just a little change of habit....
Some other heating projects I'm working on are making a draft stop for my back door, some rag rugs and making a few more quilts. I did just finish a quilt I've been working on for about 5 years. I bought 2 yards of fabric for it (the cowboys and the horses) and then uses scraps for the rest. The batting is an old flannel sheet. This quilt took awhile because it has lettering on the back that I hand stitched. "Let me gaze at the moon until I lose my senses...don't fence me in." -Cole Porter
