A staycation (to steal a phrase from One Green Generation). A staying at home vacation. I have nine days to do what I want, to catch my breath. To pause for awhile. I’m thinking of it as an “artist’s retreat,” perhaps a little of a meditative retreat too. I want to finish projects, start new projects, spend a day at the beach with a good book and my journal. I’ll go to the Farmer’s market I normally miss because I’m at work. I’ll dance under the moon to funky Italian swing and stay up to watch the stars come out. I’ll nap on the porch swing during the afternoon. Oh, and I’ve got to take Briar to the vet for her shots too….
