Cooking. Today it is yogurt cake with sour cherries. The cherries are some I harvested from one of my trees and froze for a day such as this one. I'm still getting about one egg a day from the chickens. I expected them to stop laying as the days got shorter, but they haven't this year.
Gardening. Taking inventory of what I've got and going through the seed catalogs and making wish lists. This is a tradition for me, on the first day of the calendar year.
Reading: Just about finished with Gardening at the Dragon's Gate by Wendy Johnson. I've been reading this for awhile. It's a beautiful book and one I will dip in and out of when I'm looking for garden inspiration. It's not a "how to" garden as much as a book that captures the magic of gardening. Also just finished The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It was good and will linger in my mind for awhile.
Making things: Sew many things to juggle...
