when the farmer's market opens again. Because we had such a mild winter here, there were quite a few more vegetables to choose from than usual for opening day.
Asparagus, carrots, a shallot and cheese from the farmer's market. Broccoli (purple sprouting, my favorite!) from my parent's garden. Homemade pasta, made with eggs from my chickens. I have rhubarb (from my garden) ice cream chilling in the freezer for dessert.
