This morning I finished the red hat so that I could use the needles to finish the sweater.
The hat.
The sweater.
Thinking about what a basic wardrobe should have, what it should be made of, where it should come from.
Thinking about the basic construction of clothing.
The last On Being interview I listened to as I worked on the sweater was an interview with Seth Godin. I listened to both the edited and unedited versions. If you only listen to one choose the unedited. One of my favorite quotes:
"And so it's easy to keep track of what art is by what it's not. Right? It's not following a manual, reading a dummy's book, looking for a map. It tends to be people who work with a compass instead. Who have an understanding of true north and are willing to solve a problem in an interesting way."
