My hair is too short for a ponytail but falls in my face when I am gardening...a headband seemed like a good solution. 18 to 20 inches of garter stitch, I like to purl. The yarn is pink/orange and very hard to capture accurately (Madelinetosh Sock yarn). Worked great.
