Two days off work to pull weeds:
First of the roses blooming:
Last of the fruit trees, the quince:
Anticipation:
Baby plum. It may be the best plum crop yet. And there are over 30 baby peaches. I am going to have to thin. There is one apricot. Reminding myself to not "count my chickens before they are hatched."
Today I planted: squash, beans, cucumbers, sunflowers, and basil seeds. And added tomato and tomatillo starts.
My own personal jungle:
6 inch squares of denim reclaimed from old jeans and a vintage stained table cloth sewn in a checkerboard pattern and then made into a pillow case

A very nice cushion for the porch swing.
That's my kind of math.
Another indoor day. Today I played with some of the techniques for the art class I'm taking. The fairy tale of the month is "Little Red Riding Hood." Maybe this is one of the flowers she picked to take to grandma?
And for Deanna who lives where lilacs won't grow...
Also did a bit of knitting...
I love little flecks of color, how something bright like that little green stripe on the bottom mixed with brown (the greenish-brown below the red stripe) becomes something different.
Some days are meant to just fade away slowly without much to show for them...
