Two weeks can pass by so quickly.
My life has been work, eat, read, provide a warm lap and sleep primarily.
There has been a bit more canning/preserving as well.
After years of being a bit stand-offish Hazel (the cat) has decided she wants her share of lap time. It takes some negotiation. It makes it impossible to do anything other than read, day-dream or listen to music.
And, really, that's been how I've wanted to spend time.
I've been thinking about stories. Our need for them, how they are created. How they live or fade away.
About how stories are like seeds.
(The ones on the left will be eaten, the ones on the right are to be planted next year. The red beans were a gift from a neighbor.)
Yesterday I bought some local wool at the farmer's market. I've started spinning and knitting it into squares and rectangles. It will be part of the blanket that I am building oh-so-slowly.
The thoughtful blanket.
Today I was back to the practical sewing.
Two pairs of leggings finished and a skirt mostly finished.
Polka dots make me happy.
