There was time in the garden today (I wish I had planted more carrots.).
One of the things that I love about gardening is that it can be so many things.
Food, beauty, shelter (hello little chickadee), medicine, craft supplies, a place to meditate...
Today was so many of those things.
Loaf number three of sourdough has been rising and will be baked tonight.
Loaf number two was very sour.
I did some research and found out that longer rising times makes it more sour.
Some yarn Mom and Dad gave me.
Mom said that the woman she got it from wasn't happy with the color but that maybe I'd like to try?
It was very obvious when I wet the yarn that the first attempt had been eucalyptus. I've soaked it in the indigo vat now a couple times and am so happy with the results.
More seawater colored yarn...
And..there was good news today.
In Washington state the "Stay at Home" order is being lifted county by county and there are 4 stages. The county I live in has been approved for stage 2.
It means that with certain protocols in place most businesses can reopen and that 5 or less people from different households can gather.
Very much on my mind today is the willingness to be a life long learner, something I value very highly.
And how important it is to be in a community of others that are also of that nature.
Thank you all for coming to visit and for what you share....
