Also the gift of time.
Cinderella and the plain faced watch were gifts from my grandparents, Cinderella being my very first watch. It was bought during a visit to San Francisco. I really don't remember much about San Francisco itself, just a vague memory of riding a trolley car (but maybe it's an invented memory, did we just see them?), of an extended family dinner where I was teased about not liking lobster and peaking into a closed merry-go-round that I am pretty sure I desperately wanted to be able to ride.
The Tweetie bird watch hangs from a chain. It was a gift from my parents. They thought it was something the children at work would like....it was liked so much that it often had to hidden when I wore it.
It plays, of course..."As Time Goes By."

Today I wanted to finish the curtains, but only got as far as crocheting the last three panels together.
The garden was calling...

"How we spend our days, is of course how we spend our lives."
Anne Dillard
And
"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
Mary Oliver
Reading is always time well spent.
