release, day forty two

Found the fish while doing some cleaning/organizing.

I will be releasing it somewhere. 

This morning I finish stitching a new neckline on a t-shirt that is a revise of another t-shirt.  The neckline was a little too loose/low for me. 

Releasing this from the mending pile.

two dot day, day forty one

It's a two dot day...this one inspired by yesterday's tomatillo husks:

And then there was this from my morning walk:

It was warm and windy (15-25 MPH) and beautiful.

Raining now, hard enough to be noisy. 

Grateful for a warm cozy place to be.

Found in the garden today:

Tomatillo husks.

I had other ideas but only got as far as looking at a collection of dots.

Hot air balloon of some sort.

Must be one giant flower...

Color experiment. One shirt was soaked in a mordant and then quince leaves it was yellowish when it went into this pot.  The other was brown, probably walnut, not soaked in a mordant.  The water is pink from the avocados and there is some silk that was was white as a test strip. 

I'll let is soak for a day or so and then let it dry.

Gibson and I have been watching Ted Talks this afternoon, it started with Maira Kalman and then became a bit of a rabbit hole.

Yesterday, maybe it was the day before I listened to Ann Hamilton and that was a rabbit hole too. 

To experience this must have been amazing.

 

So many ways to explore the world...

This is working as a cat solution. They aren't interested since nothing is moving or able to be batted.

I haven't glued any of my dots down yet...

keeping them fluid and changeable.

Last night there was a thunder shower for about 10 minutes...by morning the sky was clear and it was cold.

The hazel tree was sparkling once the sun rose high enough.

It's always a good day to make flowers.

Using up the pigment on the brush. 

I am imagining a story about nine cats.

And a spider.
